2010 Season

Clubs with only one court may choose to play 'home' fixtures away. The schedule is for guidance only and you can reverse the venue if both sides agree. The idea is to play matches, not to win by default. As usual, all the home and away fixture venues are the opposite of the previous year.
The usual match rules will apply:
Teams of four.
Doubles in the morning, singles in the afternoon in handicap order.
Standard handicap laws.
The maximum individual handicap allowed is 20. Te team captain should ensure the handicaps are correct and that any new players have been assessed by the Club Handicapper in accordance with the CA Club Handbook.
3 hour time limit on all games when single banked, or 3 1/4 if double banked.
Visitors take their own lunch, home team provide a light tea.
No player may represent more than one Club in the league in the season.
Where there is only one court it is suggested that the match involves teams of three instead, with a doubles and singles game in the morning and the same again in the afternoon but with a different doubles pairing. Otherwise when two courts are available please try to arrange 4-a-side matches, but if as a last resort a 3-a-side match is necessary then play the best part of 5 games (am: 1 doubles and 1 singles, pm: 3 singles, no repeats)
The matches are scored with 2 points for a win, 1 point each for a draw, and the winner of the league is the club with the most points at the end of the season. If points are equal then the winner will be determined by the difference between the total number of games won and lost, and if that is tied then by the who-beat-whom rule, and if that is tied then by the number of matches won, and if that is tied by a play off.
