ENFIELD plays in two leagues:

The BEDS 7 HERTS ASSOCIATION CROQUET LEAGUE in which there are seven clubs, with matches being played throughout the summer. The league is very competitive and last summer was no exception. ENFIELD won two matches, drew two and lost two. Although we finished fifth in the league we were only two points behind the eventual winners, Watford.

The EAST ANGLIAN GOLF CROQUET LEAGUE is divided into four divisions. We play in the Eastern division which has five clubs in it. In only our second season in this league, ENFIELD won all four matches. As winners of the Eastern division we qualified for the play offs with the other three division winners. In the semi final we played DOWNHAM MARKET and won 14 – 4, but in a closely fought final we lost to Watford 8 – 10. |

For the season of 2008, we have arranged for a free six week course of teaching croquet on Wednesday & Saturday mornings starting at 10.30am. These courses will commence from 26th March and 29th March respectively. All are welcome.

During the winter months we have been playing on Wednesday mornings, just to keep our hand in!
|
|
|
This year we shall be having club tournaments purely for fun.
|

|
It gives us great pleasure to mention that Ken Pickett, our Match Captain, is now graded 117th in Great Britain. Well done Ken.
