Enfield Croquet Club has two "properties" - the Hut and the Shed.
The Hut is the first part of the concrete building to the right on entering Bush Hill Recreational Park from the Cecil Avenue entrance. The door has an old black "Enfield Croquet Sign" and faces the Park's public toilets.
Entry is by two keys - the gold key which opens the top lock and the silver key which opens the lower one. Whilst the lawns are in use, it is fine to just lock using the silver key but when not in use, please ensure that both locks are locked.
On entering, to the right is the Health and Safety area. This includes notice board showing our insurances, details in case of emergency and some first-aid notices. Underneath is a chest of drawers which contains masks, gloves and protective equipment for use when gardening or applying lawn treatments. A manual outlining safety conditions for using materials on the lawns can be found on top of the chest and the first aid bag/box is hanging on the wall.
Directly ahead of you is another notice board which displays relevant information pertaining to the current time such as events taking place and the order of use to take into account the lawn rotation.
Onwards a little further and you will find the kitchenette. The cups are kept in the cupboard to the right of the sink; towels, plates and glasses on the cabinet under the work-top and coffee, tea, coffee, sugar etc on the shelving to the right of the entrance. These are for the use of members and are regularly refreshed.
