Join Us and Learn to Play Croquet

You can learn to play and join us at any time during the year, but in April each year we run free introductory training sessions on Tuesday and Saturday mornings: dates for 2026 will be announced shortly.

If you are interested in our free April training sessions and are new to the sport then we suggest you book at least two sessions. Please email Suzanne Twomey to book, or for more information on joining our club: course@enfieldcroquet.org

The game does not require strength, stamina, or speed, it is a game of precision, accuracy and strategy. Once you try it, you'll never look back.

Croquet is ideal for both men and women and the free introductory training sessions we run provide a fantastic opportunity to play this delightful outdoor sport.

All equipment is provided, with coaching by senior members of the club; just wear flat shoes or trainers.

Following your April training session(s) you will be offered membership for one month at a special one-off fee of £25 so you can see if you enjoy croquet enough to join as a Full Member. If so, this cost will be deducted from the annual Full Membership fee (currently £160) which covers 1st April to 31st March.

If you join us at another time in the year a pro rata Full Membership fee would be paid.

We also offer an Evening and Weekend annual membership for those who can’t play during the day: Monday to Friday.

The Evening and Weekend Membership costs £80 per annum and enables people to play:

 Monday to Friday: From 5pm

 Saturday: All day

 Sunday: From 12 noon*

*The lawns are usually cut on a Sunday morning

Anyone taking out Evening and Weekend membership will not be able to take part in internal competitions that take place on a weekday, or be picked for teams playing external competitions.

There is also an annual membership of £30 for Under 18s and Full Time Students. Please note that Under 18s would have to be accompanied by a parent or guardian when on the lawns.
