Collapsing Hoop Holes

It is important to close old hoop holes - this can be done simply through a process known as "collapsing".

This process can be undertaken at the time when it is agreed that the new hoop hole positions are all appropriately placed.

The tool we generally use is a very long spike which may be found in the brown case in the hut (with a cork on the sharp end). Essentially the hole is closed by drilling down at a short distance from the hole and pushing a spike towards the centre of the old hoop hole. This is done for the full 360 degrees around the old hole and at various depths and angles.
