White Lining

White Lining is the pièce de résistance in terms of lawn laying as the white lines clearly determine the area in which the game of croquet can be played.

Whenever possible white-lining is done after mowing on Wednesdays or Sundays, the same day as mowing. The wetter the weather the more often white-lining is required as rain washes the lines away in time, as does watering. White-lining should ideally be timed to take account of matches and tournaments.

Currently we use a plastic base white liner - the following three videos show how it's all done!
